Students will be REQUIRED to attend an informational session during the Spring semester prior to consideration for acceptance into competitive admissions program. Dates, times, and locations are posted on the College Event Calendar.

Yes. College Credit is granted for CLEP with a score of 50 or higher. A grade of “C” is assigned for ranking purposes.

Yes. Applicants may receive credit for a course by passing the College exemption exam (generally administered during the week of final exams) only if the applicant has neither attempted nor failed the course(s) or equivalent course(s) at Augusta Technical College or another postsecondary institution. Applicants may take the College Exemption exam to satisfy natural science and ALHS prefix courses taken over 5 years (60 months). A minimum score of 75% is required to pass an exemption examination. Qualified applicants are allowed one exemption exam attempt per course.
Applicants with ALHS and natural science courses that are older than five years (60 months) have the following options: (1) Retake the course(s); or (2) Take the College exemption exam for the expired course(s).
Applicants must have earned a grade of a “B” or below in order to retake a prerequisite course for ranking purposes. The highest grade will be used for ranking. This also applies to applicants with transfer grades.
The student will be required to retake the component (lab or theory) in which a grade of less than a “C” was awarded in order to meet the prerequisite requirement.
Yes, the TEAS test is required for ranking into the Associate Degree Nursing program and the Practical Nursing Program.
